CONDOMINIUM ACT REVIEW - Last Call for Residents' Panelists

Condominium residents who have received an invitation to put their name forward to potentially sit on the Residents’ Panel being formed as part of the Ontario government’s Condominium Act review process have until Thanksgiving – Monday, October 8, 2012 - to have their response to the panel coordinator.

Accordingly, if you are a condominium resident with an invitation and have put your name forward, you should, by now, have received confirmation that your expression of interest has been noted. If not, call the panel coordinator to make certain that your name is in the hat (the number was provided in your invitation package).

Starting Monday, October 15th, the select few chosen to make up the 36 person Residents' Panel will be contacted by phone with the news of their selection. Until then, everyone who has put their name forward in reply to the invitations sent to 10,000 randomly selected condominium units in Ontario have been asked to keep the following dates free for initial sessions: Saturday, October 27, 2012, Saturday, November 10, 2012 and Saturday, November 24, 2012.

Panelists are also being asked to keep Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, 2013 tentatively free, presumably to re-convene for Stage 3 of the review process, where the Residents' Panel will review the experts’ report of options and recommendations and start formulating an action plan.
