If you were born in 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005 or 2017 (based on the Chinese lunar calendar), this is your 'Ben Ming Nian' - your zodiac year!
Chinese tradition encourages those entering their Ben Ming Nian to wear red for good luck. Red is one of the luckiest colours in Chinese culture, standing for prosperity, loyalty, success and happiness.
2017 is a Fire Rooster Year, which comes only once every 60-year cycle! (Each Chinese zodiac year is associated with one of the elements.)
