TARION HELP
The Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act is administered by TARION, a private corporation established in 1976 to regulate new home builders and protect the interests of new home buyers. In the condominium context, the TARION process can be confusing and difficult to administer, particularly as strict deadlines apply and the condominium community itself is only just establishing its own identity and culture. It is quite valuable for communities to have legal representation with experience with the TARION process to assist throughout the critical stages of the process.
Our experience and success with the TARION process is what sets us apart.
Your community and your investment is in good hands with Elia Associates. We work with our condominium clients and their engineers to pursue construction deficiency issues with declarants.
Elia Associates has successfully worked with Tarion on several occasions to settle outstanding construction deficiency matters, including obtaining a $200,000 settlement without having to proceed to litigation for a six unit townhouse complex in Ancaster.

Patricia Elia has lectured extensively on the TARION process, both at the annual ACMO/CCI Condominium Conference and to a variety of property management companies and Boards of Directors. Her familiarity with the intricacies of the TARION process had proven to be a tremendous benefit to Elia Associates’ clients.
